Agnico-Eagle Mines acquires Comaplex Minerals

Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (“Agnico-Eagle”) (NYSE/TSX:AEM) acquired Comaplex Minerals Corp. ("Comaplex") (TSX:CMF) on July 6, 2010, through a statutory arrangement allowing Agnico-Eagle to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of Comaplex that it did not currently own. This arrangement includes a reorganization that has resulted in Agnico-Eagle retaining the Meliadine gold property and related assets in Nunavut, Canada, while the other assets of Comaplex were transferred to a new public exploration and development company (Geomark Exploraton Ltd.).
